A grade 4 pupil drowned in the coastal waters of Purok Maaswa, Brgy. General Luna, Toboso, Negros Occidental, on Saturday, April 27.
The father of the victim, whose name was withheld by the police, said his son was last seen alive at about 11 a.m. having lunch.
He did not know that his son went for a swim, the father said.
The victim was rushed to the Toboso Rural Health Unit but was declared dead by the attending physician.*
