A 66-year-old German national was found dead inside his rented room in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental, police said.
The man was discovered by his landlord at around 7 a.m. on Sunday, June 28, in Purok 3, Brgy. 2.
He was brought to the Sipalay City Primary Care Facility, where he was declared dead by the attending physician.
Police were informed about the incident on Tuesday afternoon, June 30, and conducted an investigation.
Initial examination showed no external injuries on the body.
Authorities said the man had reportedly been bedridden for a prolonged period due to acute coronary syndrome.
Police initially found no indication of foul play and said the death appeared to be from natural causes, pending the issuance of the appropriate medical certification.*
