Mayor Evelio Leonardia and Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran led the Department of Social Services and Development distribution Wednesday, August 18, of P132,000 worth of financial assistance to the residents of Purok San Jose, Barangay Alijis in Bacolod City whose houses were hit by fire on Sunday.
The fire incident affected 17 families, with 11 houses destroyed and two damaged.
Families with houses destroyed received P10,000 each, while those with damaged houses received P5,000 each, a press release from the Bacolod City Public Information Office said.
Sharers residing in damaged houses received P3,000 each.*
