A farmer was found dead in Sitio Palasanan, Brgy. Mahalang, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental, on Thursday, June 1, the police reported.
Ranie Manangquil of Brgy. Mahalang was found lifeless with a hack wound on his neck, the police said.
Barangay officials rushed the victim to the Valeriano M. Gatuslao Memorial District Hospital in Himamaylan but he was declared dead on arrival.
The suspect is still unidentified, the police said.*
