A 33-year-old farmer died after he was gored by his own carabao in Hacienda Conchita 3, Brgy. Paraiso, Sagay City, Negros Occidental, on Tuesday, Aug. 19.
The police identified the victim as Johnny Milagrosa of Bgry Paraiso.
Milagrosa was tending his carabao and was about to place it in a muddy pond where the animal suddenly went amok.
Witnesses said the victim tried to calm the carabao, but it charged and gored him several times, inflicting fatal injuries on different parts of his body.
Milagrosa was declared dead on the spot.
Family members said they are planning to sell the carabao following the tragic incident.*
