
A man pretending to be a Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency agent was arrested by real operatives of the PDEA in a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Zone V, Murcia, on Wednesday, Oct. 1.
The suspect, alias “Dimpoy,” 34, a jobless resident of Brgy. Zone IV, Murcia, was caught in the sting led by the PDEA Regional Office Negros Island Region– Regional Special Enforcement Team, with the PDEA-Negros Occidental Provincial Office, and Murcia police.
PDEA-NIR said the suspect had been introducing himself as a PDEA agent while engaging in the illegal drug trade.
Confiscated from the suspect were 13 sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 17 grams, buy-bust money, and a coin purse.
He is facing charges for violation of the Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
