The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is aiming to release the third tranche of the emergency cash transfer for those whose houses were destroyed by Typhoon Tino in Negros in the second week of February.
DSWD Negros Island Region Director Arwin Razo said almost P1.2 billion is allocated for the emergency cash transfer.
The distribution has already been completed in Bacolod so the next recipients will be from the towns and cities affected by Typhoon Tino in Negros Occidental, especially those in the 4th and 5th Districts, as well as Canlaon City in Negros Oriental, he said.
Razo said there were about 20,000 houses destroyed and 182,000 were damaged in the Negros Island Region.
Razo said those whose houses were destroyed will receive roughly P10,000 each and those whose houses were damaged will get at least P5,000.*
