All 976 newly elected barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan offcials in Bacolod City are expected to assume their posts on Monday, November 13, Ma. Joy Maredith Madayag, Department of the Interior and Local Government city director, said on Sunday.
They can all assume their posts by Monday since they have already been proclaimed winners and have taken their oaths, she said.
Meanwhile, incoming barangay captain Maria Febe Legaspi reiterated on Sunday that the outgoing officials of Handumanan did not turnover the budget of the barangay and left them with a P74,000 electric bill.
Legaspi aired these concerns on the radio program “Isugid Kay Mayor” aired on FMR Bacolod 91.1 Sunday morning.
She said almost all of the computers and the CCTV system turned over by the previous Handumanan barangay officials were not working.
The lone computer that is working is also not connected to a printer, she said.
The registration of the barangay vehicles were also not updated, she added.
