A day-old baby was found dead in a creek at Sitio Mataas, Brgy. Sag-ang, La Castellana, Negros Occidental, on Tuesday, Dec. 12.
The unidentified male infant was found by a group of children while they were harvesting vegetables near the creek, the police said.
The baby’s body was turned over to the La Castellana Rural Health Unit for disposition.
The police have coordinated with the Barangay Health Worker of Sag-ang to verify who have been pregnant in the area for possible identification of the parent of the victim.*
