A couple died while their 18-year-old daughter was injured after a van hit their motorcycle at a blind curve in Sitio Canlayuham, Purok Mani, Brgy. Gil Montilla, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental, on All Souls’ Day, Nov. 1.
Jerome and Elpidia Erosido died while their daughter Ana Rose was injured after the van driven by Iven Demogena, 41, hit them, the police reported.
Capt. Jose Micheal Muñez, Sipalay deputy police chief, said the motorcycle driven by Jerome was going to Brgy. Canturay when it was hit.
The impact threw the victims off the motorcycle into the bushes on the roadside.
The couple were brought to the Merceditas Montilla District Hospital in Sipalay where they were pronounced dead, while their daughter was transferred to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital for further treatment.
The driver was detained by the police but was freed after the reglementary period.*
