Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez confirmed that PCol. Joeresty Coronica was appointed the new Bacolod City Police Office director effective Tuesday, July 23.
Coronica, who is from Bacolod City, was previously the director of the Iloilo City Police Office.
On Monday he was named “adopted son” of Iloilo City.
Mayor Jerry Treñas said “I proudly turned over the signed Executive Order No. 106, Series of 2024, to Police Col. Joeresty P. Coronica, officially declaring him an adopted son of Iloilo City. His significant contributions to securing our metropolis are greatly appreciated”.
Col. Noel Aliño, former BCPO director, is now the director of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in the National Capital Region.
Coronica, who is from Bacolod City, had been previously assigned to the Negros Occidental Provincial Police Office.*
