Cops arrest 2 most-wanted in NegOr for rape  

Two of Negros Oriental’s most-wanted individuals facing rape charges were arrested in separate police operations Saturday, Nov. 22.

In Manjuyod, the police arrested the province’s No. 5 Most Wanted Person, who is also listed as the town’s No. 1 Most Wanted, for qualified rape of a minor.

The operation was carried out at around 12:24 p.m. in Brgy. Poblacion by the Manjuyod police.

The arrest was made by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge Rosario Santos Carriaga of RTC Branch 75 in Bais City, with no bail recommended.

Hours later, at around 2:52 p.m., police in Santa Catalina arrested the Provincial No. 4 Most Wanted Person for statutory rape.

The suspect was apprehended in Barangay Población by the Santa Catalina police, assisted by personnel from the Regional Intelligence Unit and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion.

The warrant warrant, also with no bail recommended, was issued on November 21 by Judge Maria Myla Rae Santos-Orden of RTC Branch 63 in Bayawan City.*
