A man was apprehended through a citizen’s arrest after allegedly carrying a firearm in Brgy. Isugan, Bacong, Negros Oriental, on Election Day, October 30.
Roger Sara was arrested at about 12:15 a.m. on October 30, with an alleged illegal firearm in his possession, the police said.
Seized from him was a .45 caliber pistol without documents, three empty magazines, and 37 bullets, the police reported.
A concerned citizen called the police for assistance and the law enforcers picked Sara up, the report added.
Charges for illegal possession of a firearms and ammunition and violation of the Commission on Elections gun ban will be filed against him, the report said.*
