The Negros Occidental provincial government is eyeing an allocation of about P50 million for the milestone 30th celebration of the Panaad sa Negros Festival this year, Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said on Friday, Jan. 30.
Scheduled to take place from April 13 to 19, the annual festivities will be centered at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City.
The proposed budget includes subsidies for the towns and cities participating in the week-long event.
“We are hoping the LGUs go all out and participate in this year’s Panaad,” Lacson said, adding that planning for the festival is underway.
Known as the “Festival of Festivals,” Panaad sa Negros is the premier cultural event of the province. Panaad brings together all 13 cities and 19 municipalities of Negros Occidental in one venue.*
