Mayor Salvador Escalante ordered all regular, contractual and casual employees and consultants of the Cadiz City government to submit their vaccination cards not later than November 29.

“To ensure the health and safety of all our clients and our co-workers in government, all employees and consultants are required to be vaccinated against COVID-9 using only the vaccines authorized for emergency use by the Philippine Food and Drug Administration,” he said in his memorandum order Thursday, November 25.

Starting December 1, unvaccinated employees will be required to submit on a weekly basis negative RT-PCR or Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) test results at the first hour of the first business day of every week, Escalante said in his memorandum order.

The cost of the RT-PCR Test or RAT will be at the personal expense of the unvaccinated employee, he said.

Unvaccinated employees who fail to submit a negative RT-PCR or RAT test result will be considered absent until such negative test result is submitted, Escalante said.

No honorarium will be granted to consultants who fail to comply with the directive, he added.

Officials and employees of National Government Agencies (NGAs) will be required to submit a copy of their vaccine cards or certificates to the Office of the City Mayor not later than November 29, Escalante also said.

Otherwise, they will not be allowed to enter the premises of the city hall or other LGU buildings where they render their official duties effective December 1, he said.

All Cadiz City employees and consultants must submit their vaccination cards or certificates to their respective department heads or supervisors not later than November 29, Escalante said.

The submission of fake or manufactured vaccine cards or certificates will constitute dishonesty, which will be ground for dismissal of city employees, and non-renewal of contracts of consultants, he said.

IN BAGO CITY

Mayor Nicholas Yulo also issued a memorandum Thursday encouraging all Bago City officials and employees to get vaccinated against Covid-19 in compliance with the national Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) Resolution No. 148-B, Series of 2021 dated November 11.

City government employees who are not vaccinated starting December 15, will be required to present negative RT- PCR test every 15 days at their own expense, he said.*
