Bystander stabbed dead by 2 waiters in San Carlos bar

A 29-year-old man died after he was stabbed multiple times by two teenage waiters inside a bar in Brgy. 5, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, early Monday morning, July 21.

The victim was found lying on the floor with multiple stab wounds to the abdomen when authorities arrived at the scene around 4:40 a.m., the San Carlos City Police reported.

Capt. Rodney Sarona, San Carlos Deputy Police Chief, said the initial investigation revealed that the victim, a frequent bystander at the bar, had a heated argument with the two suspects, aged 18 and 19.

The two waiters reportedly called the victim inside the establishment and attacked him.

He was rushed to the San Carlos City Hospital where he was declared dead.

The suspects are now in police custody and are facing murder charges, Sarona said.*
