A five-year-old boy drowned after he fell into a manhole at Ilang-Ilang St in Hillside Subd. Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City Monday, March 14.
Based on the police report, the boy, a resident of the village, slipped and fell into the manhole, but due to the heavy rain, he was swept by the strong current at the canal.
It took more than two hours for the search and rescue units to find the boy due to the heavy downpour and flash floods.*
