Bacolod still under Alert Level 4 despite DOH downgrade to AL2

The National Inter-Agency Task Force has not downgraded the COVID-19 Alert Level 4 status of Bacolod City, Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran stressed Sunday, November 7.

He said while the Department of Health in Western Visayas has recently placed Bacolod under Alert Level 2, the NIATF had not downgraded the Alert Level 4 classification of the city that it imposed until November 14.

The DOH in Western Visayas has classified Bacolod as a COVID-19 low risk area under Alert Level 2, Em Ang and Dr. Chris Sorongon of the Emergency Operations Center posted on their Facebook pages on Saturday, November 6.

The DOH report posted by Sorongon said Bacolod City’s average COVID-19 daily attack rate of 19. 43 percent from October 5 to 18, dropped to 7.57 percent from October 19 to November 1.

The same report kept Negros Occidental’s status under Alert Level 2, with a low risk classification.*
