Bacolod-based firm rewards Hidilyn with one year supply of liniment

A Bacolod-based firm is rewarding Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz with one-year free supply of its liniment.

The weightlifter made history Monday by becoming the first athlete from the Philippines to win gold at the Olympics, which has led to her being heaped with numerous rewards.

Diaz also set an Olympic record when she lifted a combined weight of 224 kilograms, to win the top spot in the women’s 55-kg class in Tokyo.

Aldrtz Corporation in a press release said it salutes all Filipino athletes and thanks Diaz for the hard work and perseverance to achieve her goal of winning the Olympic gold medal for the Philippines.

“There will be year na ‘Walang Aww’ for Diaz as Aldrtz Corporation rewards her with one year supply of Pau Liniment, which is considered as the country’s ‘Pambansang Liniment’,” the press release said.

“Maraming salamat sa iyong pagsisikap at patuloy na pagbangon sa bawat pagsubok at sakit ng katawan na iyong naranasan,” Aldrtz Corporation said.

“Aldrtz Corporation acknowledges the physical pain that our athletes endure during rigorous trainings. By gifting Hidilyn with a one year supply of Pau Liniment, it hopes to alleviate and relieve the pain that the athlete goes through during training, “ it added.

Diaz gifted the Philippines with its first Olympic gold medal, so she deserves all the rewards and incentives, which continue to pour from the government and the private sector, Aldrtz Corporation said.

It noted that her historic feat has inspired the Negros Occidental provincial government to strengthen and widen its weightlifting program in order to find and develop athletes with potential.*
