Another alleged member of the Aki Cuadra robbery hold-up group was gunned down near his home at Brgy. Villamonte, Bacolod City, Wednesday, February 9.

Killed was Arian Mark “Jokjok” Salaver, 31. He was allegedly the trusted man of their leader, Arnold “Aki” Cuadra, who was killed in January, the police said.

The victim was standing near his home when unidentified persons shot him.
He was able to run to his house, where his assailants chased him and finished him off, the police added.

The victim succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds on different parts of his body and was declared dead by the responding rescuers.

Maj. Ritchie Gohee, Police Station 4 commander, said they are looking into a grudge or misunderstanding in the Cuadra group as the motive for the killing.

Gohee linked the victim to various killing, carnapping, and robbery hold-up cases in the city.

Salaver’s killing came two weeks after another Cuadra robbery group member was killed.

On January 26, Donald Joseph Casiano Jr. of Barangay Granada just came from the wake of another alleged member of the group, who was abducted and killed in January, when he was gunned down at Purok Sigay, Barangay 2

In early January, three members of the group were abducted from Cuadra’s rented house in Villa Homes Subdivision, Barangay Vista Alegre.

Cuadra was able to escape but the unidentified suspects onboard two vehicles went after him.

All victims were found dead on January 8 in different locations in Bacolod City, Bago City and Murcia.*
