Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez said on Sunday, June 11, that the laying of the foundations for the Yuhum housing units for indigent city residents has started at the Arao relocation site in Brgy Vista Alegre, Bacolod.
“We’re building up soon,” he said in a Facebook post.
Bacolod Councilor Vladimir Gonzales said four-story housing buildings will be built at the site by WRS, a Manila contractor.
WRS is expected to build 3,464 housing units at the Arao property, a source said.
Benitez , in a Facebook post, said he visited the Yuhum housing project at the Arao property, the old Bacolod airport and the Progreso Village High School on Sunday.*
