President Rodrigo Duterte has promoted Police Col. Roderick Augustus Alba to the rank of brigadier general.
Duterte informed Local Government Secretary Eduardo Ano of Alba’s promotion in a letter Tuesday, January 18.
Alba, who is from Bacolod City, is the Philippine National police spokesman and head of the PNP Public Information Office.
He has held key positions in the Western Visayas, Negros Occidental and Bacolod City PNP offices.
He is married to television journalist Leilani Salem Alba with whom he has two daughters – Abigail and Angel Ann.*
