An accounting information systems graduate from Colegio San Agustin was crowned the 2024 Miss Bacolod MassKara queen at the University of St. La Salle (USLS) Coliseum, Saturday night, Oct. 19.

Princess Ella Olmilla, 22, bested 14 other candidates and bagged 10 corporate and minor awards during the 3-hour pageant.

The new Miss Bacolod, who advocates for elderly care, dedicated the crown to her five grandparents, especially her late grandmother, Ella Olmilla, who raised her during her childhood.

“This has been a dream of my grandmother ever since I was 16, and I believe I not only carried this journey with me but also carried her legacy,” she said, adding “I want to make her proud even if she already passed away”.

Olmilla also bagged the best in swimwear and best in evening gown awards.

Hospitality Management student Akeisha Nicole Nuarin was named 1st runner-up, while PWD advocate Cindy Valencia was 2nd runner-up.

Nuarin also won the Best in Festival award, while Valencia received the Best in Talent award.

Jhudiel Micha Maris Lianda was awarded Miss Congeniality, and Sophia Zaragoza was chosen as Most Photogenic and Darling of Social Media.

The pageant was hosted by actor Marco Gumabao and Cristalle Belo-Pitt, with a special performance by GMA artist Patrick Quiroz.*
