AAB-N opens art exhibit to mark 48th anniversary

The Art Association of Bacolod-Negros opened a group art exhibition featuring the works of 50 artists to mark its 48th founding anniversary at The Inns at San Juan Street, Bacolod City, on Saturday, July 22.

Guests of honor were AAB-N past presidents Dolly Gatuslao, Anita Feria, Elizabeth Puey, Sony Golez together with artist Trude Lizares, daughter of AAB founder Edgardo “Budot” Lizares.

Also present were Bacolod Councilor Em Legaspi-Ang, chairman of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Committtee on History, Arts and Culture, as well as Bacolod Tourism Operations Officer Ma. Teresa Quebrar-Manalili.

Mike “Noy” Pillora, founder of the legendary folk group ASIN, Negrense folk singer Ram Martinez, and visual artist Agustin Chavez provided musical entertainment during the event along with other members of the AAB-N.

AAB-N is the second longest running art group in the country, next to the Art Association of the Philippines.*
