677 TUPAD beneficiaries in EB Magalona get help

A total of 677 E. B. Magalona beneficiaries of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) – Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/ Displaced Workers (TUPAD) receive their PPEs (personal protective equipment) during an orientation at the Public Plaza Friday, September 16, which was also the start of their 10-day work.

PESO (Public Employment Service Office) manager Jessilyn Plaza said the beneficiaries will conduct a cleanup drive in their respective barangays for four hours a day for 10 days, with a rate of P450 per day or P4,500 for 10
Days, a press release said.

This batch’s TUPAD fund was facilitated by Rep. Jose Francisco Benitez (Neg. Occ., 3rd District).

Plaza said the beneficiaries started their work on Sept. 16 wearing their DOLE TUPAD PPEs, comprised of long sleeves shirt, buri hat, and face masks.

About 200 children in E. B. Magalona also availed of McDonald’s Happy Meal during the Mayor Marvin Malacon Fun Day at the Public Plaza Monday, September 19.

The Fun Day was held on the same day of the formal opening of McDonald’s store at the Saravia Commercial Building in the municipality.

Malacon sponsored the 200 Happy Meals.

The children, aged 3 to 12 years old, were also treated to exciting games and prizes.*
