All 66 individuals who underwent random drug testing at the Bais City Jail in Negros Oriental tested negative, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) reported.
The tests were conducted by the PDEA Negros Oriental Provincial Office on Monday, Sept. 1.
A total of 37 BJMP personnel and 29 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) were tested, the PDEA said.
The PDEA also carried out a search and seizure operation inside the jail, where no illegal drugs were found.
As part of its anti-drug advocacy, PDEA conducted a lecture under its Drug-Free Workplace Program and Drug Abuse Prevention Education campaign, tackling drug policies, legal consequences, and the ill effects of illegal drugs.
The agency said it continues to push for drug-free communities through enforcement, education, and partnerships.*
