Sixty-two vendors are setting up stalls for the sale of firecrackers and pyrotechnics behind the Pope John Paul II Tower at the reclamation area in Bacolod City.
Executive Assistant Ernie Pineda said the vendors have applied for special permits and paid retailers fees before the Philippine National Police Western Visayas Regional office.
The permits are expected to be released this week, Pineda said.
The structures at the firecrackers and pyrotechnics zone are up and have been inspected by the Bacolod PNP and the Bureau of Fire Protection, he said.*
