3 persons killed in Negros

Three persons were killed in separate incidents in Negros Occidental and Oriental on Friday and Sunday, June 27 and 29.

Two of them were stabbed dead while they were on their way home in Sitio Aw-a, Brgy. Poblacion, Sta. Catalina, Negros Occidental, Sunday morning.

Lance Kyle Bargasa and Paulo Cuenca, residents of Sitio San Ramon, Brgy. Poblacion, died after they were allegedly stabbed by alias “Reymark” and “Mark Angelo” of Sitio Kasla, Brgy. Nangka, Bayawan City, the police reported.

The victims were going home from a disco in Sitio Aw-a when the stabbing occurred, the police said.

The police arrested the suspects in a hot pursuit operation and they are now detained at the Sta. Catalina Police Station.

Meanwhile, a man was found dead after he was shot by two suspects in Sitio Nahanunga, Brgy. Biak na Bato, La Castellana, Negros Occidental, on Friday.

Alias “Jerwin”, 37, of Sitio Nahanunga died after he was shot by alias “Rey”, 35, and alias “Robert”, 25, the police reported.

The victim was driving a motorcycle and was waylaid by the suspects, the police said.

Lt. Col. Rhojn Darell Nigos, La Castellana Police Chief, said that they already have persons of interest and the victim might have known them.*
