2 Negros Occidental towns have no Covid cases

Manapla and Don Salvador Benedicto towns in Negros Occidental had zero COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, December 7, Zeaphard Caelian, Provincial Incident Management Team (PIMT) head, said Wednesday.

Bago City, on the other hand, had the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the province at 35, followed by Hinigaran with 27, Cauayan -24, La Carlota City and Talisay City – 22 each, Himamaylan City and San Carlos City – 21 each, Hinoba-an – 20, Binalbagan – 18, Moises Padilla – 17, Cadiz City and Pulupandan – 16 each, Pontevedra – 14, Sagay City – 13, and Silay City and Victorias City – 10 each.

Areas with single digit COVID-19 cases are Ilog, Isabela and Kabankalan City – 9 each, Murcia – 8 Escalante City – 7, Candoni and Sipalay City – 6 each, Valladolid – 5, La Castellana and EB Magalona – 3 each, Calatrava – 2, and San Enrique and Toboso – 1 each.

Negros Occidental had 375 active COVID-19 cases on Tuesday and 353 on Wednesday, December 8.

Negros Occidental has had 34,762 COVID-19 cases since March last year, 32,695 recoveries and 1,713 deaths, the PIMT reported.*
