
Two men were injured after they were shot by unidentified suspects in Barangay 10, Bacolod City, on Wednesday night, March 25.
Police said the victims were reportedly outsiders who allegedly bought illegal drugs from the suspects.
Police investigation showed the victims later returned to confront the suspects after receiving a substance believed to be fake, triggering a commotion.
Authorities said the suspects, riding a motorcycle, opened fire and fled the scene.
The victims sustained gunshot wounds and were rushed to a hospital, where they are set to undergo surgery.
Police said CCTV footage helped identify persons of interest in the incident.
One of them, identified as alias “Josh,” voluntarily surrendered and denied involvement in the shooting but is cooperating with authorities.
He identified the alleged gunman as alias “Makoy,” who was reportedly aided by alias “Moy.”
Two other individuals, including a minor identified as alias “Rey” and another suspect alias “Roy,” were also seen in the footage assaulting the victims using bottles.
The police are continuing pursuit operations against the suspects.*
