2 Bacolod grads ace chemical technician board exam

Two graduates of Bacolod City schools aced the 2021 Chemical Technician Licensure Examination.

John Carlo Coniendo of the University of St La Salle placed 5th in the exam with a rating of 89.50 percent, while Jelmar Santibanez of Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod finished in 7th place with an 88.50 percent grade.

Topping the list was Mary Dorothy Dinampo of Cebu Institute of Technology-University with a grade of 92 percent.

They were among the 1,074 of the 1,322 who passed the Chemical Technician Licensure Examination given by the Board of Chemistry in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, San Fernando, Tacloban and Zamboanga in October, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Friday, November 5.

From December 6 to 16, registration for the issuance of a Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done online, PRC said.

The PRC advised passers to visit its website, www.prc.gov.ph, and follow the instructions for initial registration.

Those who register are required to bring the downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, a notice of admission (for identification only), two passport-sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), two sets of documentary stamps, and a short brown envelope, the PRC said.

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals, it added.

The venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees will be announced later, the PRC said.*
