15 more hit by Omicron in Bacolod, all recovered

The Philippine Genome Center reported that 15 more Bacolod residents have been hit by the highly contagious COVID-19 Omicron variant but all have already recovered, Dr. Chris Sorongon, Emergency Operations Center deputy, said Saturday, February 19.

Nine males and six females were hit by the Omicron variant, the report received by the EOC Saturday showed.

One was a child, four were aged from 61 to -87 years old, and 10 were from 25 to 57 years old, Sorongon said.

Those infected are from Taculing – 4, Banago – 3, Handumanan and Estefania – 2 each, Mansilingan, Tangub, Brgy 3 and Bata – 1 each, he added.

They were swabbed for COVID-19 tests from January 6 to 28, Sorongon said.*
