The Yanson Group of Bus Companies (YGBC) is offering a 10 percent discount to all passengers traveling on Good Friday, Black Saturday, and Easter Sunday on all its buses operating across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The fare discount is part of the YGBC’s corporate social responsibility and in response to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s bayanihan spirit call this Holy Week, a press release from the firm said on Tuesday, March 31.
This initiative is a philanthropic gesture by the company’s president and CEO Leo Rey Yanson, Olivia V. Yanson, and Ginnette Y. Dumancas to ease the financial burden on Filipino travelers during the Lenten season, it said.
The management believes the move will foster a sense of unity and generosity, reflecting the true meaning of Holy Week while providing meaningful relief to the riding public across the country, the press release said.
The discount will be implemented across the group’s extensive operations in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao through its participating subsidiaries.
These include Vallacar Transit, Inc., Bachelor Express, Inc., Rural Transit Mindanao, Inc., Mindanao Star Bus Transport Inc., Love Transport Express Mindanao, Inc., Southern Star Bus Transit, Inc., Sugbo Urban Transit, Inc., Love Visayas Transport Express, Inc., Goldstar Bus Transit, Inc., and Ceres Transport, Inc.
Through this nationwide effort, the YGBC management reaffirms its commitment to the government’s call for solidarity and service to the Filipino people during these important times of reflection and travel, the press release said.*
