A factory worker died after he was trapped inside a mixer hose machine while doing maintenance work in Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City, on August 25.
Bacolod Police Station 7 commander Capt. Dax Santillan said the victim had entered the mixer machine for maintenance when a co-worker, unaware that he was inside, switched it on.
The victim was rushed to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
Santillan said the victim’s wife reported the incident to the police but decided not to file a case since the company promised to provide burial assistance to the family.
Police, however, said they will continue to investigate the incident to determine if foul play was involved.
