The body of a 38-year-old woman was found floating in a river in Ilog, Negros Occidental, on Tuesday morning, April 21.
The victim, identified as alias “Tina,” a resident of Brgy. Andulauan, was discovered in Sitio Talubangi.
Residents helped retrieve the body from the river.
Witnesses said the victim was last seen around 4 p.m. on Monday, April 20, when she allegedly threw her slippers into the river before jumping in and was not seen again.
Authorities conducted a search and rescue operation on Monday but failed to locate the victim until Tuesday morning when her body was found.
Police said the victim was reportedly suffering from a mental condition.*
