Wife killed by ‘jealous’ hubby; couple, driver shot dead, too

Four people were killed in separate shooting incidents in Negros Occidental, including Bacolod City, on Thursday, June 17.

A husband killed his wife following a heated argument in their home at Barangay San Isidro, Calatrava.

Killed was 28-year-old Sendy Ambasing, who was shot to death with an unknown firearm by her husband Alex Ambasing, 32, who fled from the scene after the incident.

The victim sustained a lone gunshot wound to her head. She was brought to Calatrava District Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Police are looking at jealousy as the motive of the incident.

COUPLE DEAD

A teacher and her husband were was also gunned down in Barangay Molocaboc, Sagay City, by an unidentified suspect.

Ermelito Desamparado, 46, fetched his wife Melani, 44, who was a teacher, at the wharf when an unidentified person waylaid them and shot them several times. The suspect then fled from the scene.

Both victims succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds in the different parts of their bodies that resulted in their instantaneous death.

IN BACOLOD

Killed in Bacolod City was tricycle driver Arnold Bayting, 44, of Barangay Taculing.

He was gunned down at Sharina Heights Subdivision, just a few meters away from Police Station 6.

Police Maj. Leo Estopa, commander of Police Station 6, said the unidentified suspects on board a motorcycle approached the victim and shot him several times.

The victim, who sustained wounds to his head and body, was ferrying a female passenger when the gun attack happened.

The police are looking at grudge as the motive of the killing.*
