
A 14-year-old boy was killed after being stabbed multiple times by his uncle in Barangay 2, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, on Sunday morning, Dec. 14.
Police identified the victim as alias “Chris”, a minor and resident of Laurel Street, Don Juan Subdivision, Brgy. 2.
Authorities said the suspect was the victim’s uncle, identified as alias “Raymond”, 34, married, and residing at Brgy. 2.
Police investigation showed that the victim was sleeping when he was suddenly mauled and stabbed several times by the suspect for still undetermined reasons.
After the stabbing, the suspect reportedly set himself and their house on fire.
Firefighters later found the suspect’s burned body in a prone position inside the house after the fire was declared out.
The victim was found lying on the pavement with multiple stab wounds and was declared dead at the scene.
The San Carlos City Police Station coordinated with the City Health Office for a post-mortem examination and requested Scene of the Crime Operatives to process the area.
BFP San Carlos is also conducting a separate arson investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
Police said the case remains under investigation to establish the motive behind the attack.*
