The unauthorized stay of a Russian national at the Mambukal Mountain Resort and Wildlife Sanctuary in Brgy. Minoyan, Murcia, Negros Occidental, has been reported to the police, provincial administrator Rayfrando Diaz said Sunday, February 13.
The provincial government closed the resort to guests after Typhoon “Odette” hit in December.
Diaz said he was just informed that the Russian was allowed to stay at the resort by Lovi Wee, a newly hired Mambukal employee, after his contract expired on February 11.
“She used my name to get past the guards,” Diaz said.
The red Montero vehicle of the Russian with plate number DAH-7516 figured in a hit-and-run incident in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod, on February 9, as shown in a video posted on Facebook, Diaz said.
The same vehicle in the video has been seen parked at the Mambukal resort, he added.*
