Presidential candidates Leni Robredo and Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said they will pursue the plan to build bridges that will connect Panay, Guimaras and Negros (PGN) if elected into office.
Robredo, at rallies in Guimaras aid Iloilo City Saturday, February 26, said she will make sure the PGN bridges, a project that has been sleeping for six years, will be built because they will have life changing benefits for residents and the local economy.
A Robredo-Kiko Pangilinan rally is scheduled in Negros Occidental on March 11, former governor Rafael Coscolluela said Sunday, February 27.
Marcos, at a rally in Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo, Thursday, also said he would pursue the PGN project that would boost the economy, a press release from his camp said on Sunday.
The PGN project will cover 32 kilometers and will be the longest in the Visayas, it said.
The Panay-Guimaras link will be 13 kilometers and the Guimaras-Negros link 19.47 kilometers.*
