Two men injured in stabbing, hacking

Two men were injured after they were hacked and stabbed in the cities of Sipalay and Kabankalan, Negros Occidental, on Tuesday, Oct. 1.

Johnny Mallosa, 21, a resident of Brgy. San Jose, Sipalay, was injured after he was hacked by Rolly Brigoli, 36, a carpenter and resident of Brgy. Canturay in the same city, the police reported.

Investigation revealed that while the victim was taking out his bed in a residence where the suspect was working as a carpenter, he was hacked in the neck and knee.

The victim ran towards his house to seek help and was brought to a hospital in Sipalay but was referred to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City for further treatment.

The suspect was arrested and is now detained at the Sipalay Police Station.

Meanwhile, alias “Rolan”, 51, and a vendor from Sitio Utod, Brgy. Hilamonan, Kabankalan, was also injured after he was stabbed while entering a coffee shop in Brgy. 1, the police reported.

The suspect identified as alias “James”, 39, of Phase 5, Brgy. 1, Kabankalan.

Investigation revealed that the suspect took his steel gaff and stabbed the victim several times.

The victim was brought to Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital and is now in stable condition, while the suspect was arrested and is under police custody.*
