Two Bacolod fishermen found, 2 from Cadiz return home, too

Two Bacolod fishermen who were reported missing last week have been found, while two others from Cadiz City who were rescued in Masbate have returned home, a Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) official said on Sunday, Nov. 3,

Aldin Nepomuceno and Noel Mahinay of Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod, who were reported missing on Tuesday, Oct. 29, were found in the waters of Barangay Bubog, Talisay City, on Thursday, Oct. 31, Commander Jansen Benjamin, PCG Northern Negros Occidental head, said.

They were unable to return to Bacolod on Tuesday because their banca had engine trouble, he said.

Meanwhile, missing Cadiz City fishermen Joren Parochil, 22, and Edwin Hinojales, 17, who went fishing on Oct. 19 and were reported missing have also returned home.

The were found by fishermen in Naboctot Island, in Placer, Masbate, on Oct. 26 and finally brought home to Cadiz City on Nov. 1.*
