Two graduates from the Technological University of the Philippines-Visayas are among the topnotchers in the Chemical Technician Licensure Examinations this month.
TUP-V in Talisay City, Negros Occidental graduates Kristine Magbanua ranked 2nd with a 91 percent rating, and Gritchen Pontino ranked 3rd with 90.5 percent.
Out of 2,711 takers, only 2,110 passed the examinations.
TUP-V was also named a top performing school as it had a 100 percent passing rate.
This is the 6th time the school had 100 percent Chemical Technicians Licensure Exam passers.
TUP-V also produced 23 new Chemists with a passing rate of 82.14 percent. The national passing rate was 54.41 percent for the Chemists Licensure Examinations.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 592 out of 1,088 passed the Chemists Licensure Examination.
The examination was given by the Board of Chemistry in the National Capital Region, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, and Zamboanga this October.*
