
Three green sea turtles were successfully rescued and released by personnel of the Sagay Marine Reserve after they were found stranded inside a fish corral along the coast of Brgy. Taba-ao early Thursday morning, Dec. 4.
The rescue team responded at around 2:35 a.m. and found three turtles, two females and one male, estimated to weigh 150 kilograms, 50 kg., and 50 kg. respectively.
The turtles were inspected on-site to check for injuries and overall condition.
After confirming that all three were healthy, the team immediately released them back into the sea.
The Sagay Marine Reserve reminds the public to immediately report any sightings of stranded or trapped marine wildlife to ensure their safety and proper handling.*
