A senior high school teacher was stabbed to death by an alleged thief in her house at Sitio Canipa-an, Barangay Banquerohan, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental 7:36 a.m. Wednesday, October 6.
Killed was Jessica Transmonte Ducay, 28 years old and single, a Cadiz police report said Thursday.
The victim was alone in her house when the suspect entered and with no apparent reason stabbed her in different parts of her body resulting in her instantaneous death, the police added.
The police identified the suspect as Delleon Del Rosario, alias Toto, of Barangay 8, Bacolod.
He fled in an unknown direction carting away P79,000, the police said.
The victim was immediately brought to the Cadiz City Emergency Clinic but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police operations for the capture of the suspect were still ongoing Thursday afternoon, Lt. Col Rocky Desear, Cadiz police chief, said.*
