Suspected shabu, firearm seized in Siaton drug raid

The police arrested a 59-year-old man and seized suspected shabu and a firearm during the execution of a search warrant in Brgy. Malabuhan, Siaton, Negros Oriental, on Monday, Feb. 9.

The police identified the suspect as alias “Rob,” married, and a resident of Brgy. Malabuhan.

The operation was carried out by the Siaton Municipal Police Station, Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office, with the assistance of the 5th Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion–Negros Island Region.

Authorities said the search warrant was issued for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

During the operation, police recovered around 20 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P136,800.
