The Sangguniang Panlungsod approved the P3.6 billion Bacolod City government budget for 2024 at its regular session Wednesday, Dec. 13.
The P3.6 billion is a 17 percent increase from the P3.250 billion 2023 budget, Councilor Jude Thaddeus Sayson, SP Committee on Appropriations and Finance chair, said.
The increase will come from the improved revenue collection of Bacolod and its increased National Tax Allotment (NTA) share, Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez said earlier.
Bacolod City’s NTA share will be P1,895,045,662 in 2024, or an increase by P110,702,531.*
