A farmworker found skeletal remains in a sugarcane field in Purok Gonzaga, Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City, on Tuesday, March 12.
Bacolod City Station 7 Commander Capt. Andy Ofalia said that the remains might have come from the nearby cemetery.
There is a possibility that it was just dumped in the sugarcane field, he said.
There are times that when they clean up a grave, and some of the remains are disposed of at nearby sugarcane fields, Ofalia said.*
