Six close contacts of the two new Bacolod Delta cases tested positive for COVID-19, Dr. Chris Sorongon, Emergency Operations Center deputy for medical data and analysis, said Tuesday, September 7.
The two new Delta variant cases in Bacolod are a 32-year-old hospital health care worker from Barangay Singcang, and a 31-year-old unemployed Sum-ag resident.
The two Delta-hit Bacolodnons, who underwent new RT-PCR tests, were negative for COVID-19, Sorongon said.
However, the two close contacts of the Sum-ag resident and four of the health care worker from Singcang tested positive, he added.
They are all on strict lockdown, he said.
All six COVID-positive close contacts are asymptomatic and have cycle thresholds of more than 30 making them non infectious, Sorongon said.*
