Siquijor PPO tops police performance ratings for April, May

The Siquijor Police Provincial Office (PPO) ranked first in the Philippine National Police’s performance evaluation for Police Provincial and City Police Offices in the Negros Island Region for two consecutive months.

Based on the Unit Performance Evaluation Rating (UPER) released by the Regional Plans and Programs Division of Police Regional Office–Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR), Siquijor PPO recorded an 89.946 percent rating in April 2025 and 89.134 percent in May 2025, topping the list both months.

Siquijor PPO was followed by the Bacolod City Police Office, Negros Occidental PPO, and Negros Oriental PPO.

The UPER is a monthly assessment tool used by the PNP to measure the performance of its units in terms of crime prevention, operations, administrative management, and community relations.

Siquijor PPO is currently led by Police Col. Emelie D. Santos.

In a statement, Santos acknowledged the performance of her personnel and said they are aligning with the directives of PRO-NIR Regional Director Police Brig. Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay.

She added that their team will continue to focus on delivering police services that are efficient, responsive, and grounded in community engagement.

Santos also said the evaluation result is a challenge for them to maintain consistent performance in the coming months.*
