The police arrested a man for four counts of rape in Brgy. Poblacion, Siquijor town, in Siquijor province, on Sunday, Sept. 22.
The 29-year-old man, a resident of Kolambugan, Lanao Del Norte, was arrested for allegedly raping his niece in February, the Police Community Affairs and Development Group-Central Visayas reported.
The arrest was conducted by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued this month, with no bail recommended for his temporary release.
Cpt. Jason Tompong, Siquijor town police chief, said the suspect has already been turned over to the Kolambugan police.*
